Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) could possibly be without their latest six-hitting sensation Aniket Verma for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Thursday (April 3).
While there is no official news regarding the same, Aniket apparently suffered an injury or at least a scare after a toe-crushing yorker during the SRH nets session in Kolkata on the eve of the match against KKR.

If the report turns out to be true, it could be a blow to Sunrisers as they look to stop a losing streak in the ongoing IPL 2025. Pat Cummins led SRH opened the campaign with a victory over Rajasthan Royals, but lost to Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals in their next two matches.
Sunrisers had posted a video clip of the 23-year-old having a good hit at the nets, but another post emerged on X, delivering the possible bad news that the player hobbled off after being flattened by a toe-crushing yorker.
As it stands, there is no official report on the player suffering an injury. However, as per the claim made that he did not bat after being tended to by the medical staff, there is chance of him being a doubtful starter for today's match. Any news on his availability will updated here.
The 23-year-old has been is excellent six-hitting form in IPL 2025 so far, scoring 117 runs in 3 innings which includes a 13-ball 36 against LSG and a 74 off 41 against DC in the most recent outing for the Sunrisers.
The Uttar Pradesh cricketer, who was bought for a base price of INR 30 lakh at the IPL 2025 mega auction, has hit 12 sixes coming in to bat in the lower-middle order position in SRH's power-packed batting line up and has been impressive against spinners.
