The Kolkata Knight Riders claimed their third IPL title with a commanding win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final on Sunday, May 26, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
KKR secured the victory by 8 wickets with 57 balls to spare, ending their decade-long quest for an IPL trophy. The match was a one-sided affair, showcasing KKR's dominance throughout.

SRH captain Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to bat first. However, SRH had a disastrous start with Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma departing in the first two overs. The team struggled to recover from the early setbacks and were bundled out for 113 runs. Chasing a target of 114 runs, KKR lost Sunil Narine early. However, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Venkatesh Iyer ensured there were no further hiccups. KKR chased down the target comfortably within 10.3 overs, securing their victory and lifting the IPL trophy at the Chepauk Stadium.
After ending the decade-long wait for an IPL title, the scenes were emotional at the KKR camp. Bollywood Star Shah Rukh Khan, who has been a magnificent owner to have, was emotional and was seen having a warm embrace with daughter Suhana Khan.
It has been a long wait for the Knight Riders and the emotions poured after the victory. Suhana Khan was seen having a word with Shah Rukh before they embraced each other. Shah Rukh's sons Abram and Aryan also joined as it was a special family moment for the Khans.
Suhana Khan was captured asking SRK if he was happy as he was about to wear his face mask.
"Why are you wearing the Mask? Are You Happy?", Suhana said to her father with a smile on her face.
Although the camera didn't show what SRK said, but we can safely say he was indeed very happy to see his boys winning the tournament. He smiled, nodded affirmatively and then hugged his daughter.
