KKR vs SRH Match Report: The iconic Eden Gardens witnessed a spectacle as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) put on a batting masterclass before their bowlers dismantled Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in a crushing 80-run victory.
It was a night of dominance for the two-time IPL champions, who posted a commanding 200/6, powered by a breathtaking 60 off 29 balls from Venkatesh Iyer and a classy half-century from young Angkrish Raghuvanshi.

The home crowd roared in approval as KKR's batters unleashed a flurry of boundaries, setting the stage for a one-sided encounter. In response, SRH crumbled under the pressure of a daunting chase, losing three wickets within the first three overs.
The early blows from Vaibhav Arora and Harshit Rana left them reeling, and despite a valiant effort from Heinrich Klaasen (33), the visitors never recovered. With Andre Russell and Varun Chakaravarthy weaving their magic, SRH folded for just 120 in 16.4 overs. The emphatic win not only boosted KKR's net run rate but also sent a strong statement to their rivals-when they get going, they are simply unstoppable.
Put in to bat first, KKR lost early wickets, with Quinton de Kock (0) falling in the second over to Pat Cummins, followed shortly by Sunil Narine (7). However, Ajinkya Rahane and young Angkrish Raghuvanshi steadied the innings with a crucial 81-run stand.
Rahane, leading from the front, played a composed 38 off 27 balls, but it was Raghuvanshi who provided the fireworks. The left-hander smashed a 32-ball 50, laced with five fours and two sixes, keeping KKR on track for a strong total.
The real game-changer, however, was Venkatesh Iyer. Walking in at No. 5, he took charge with a blistering knock of 60 off just 29 deliveries. His fearless strokeplay, which included seven boundaries and three sixes, accelerated KKR's innings in the death overs.
Rinku Singh played a supporting role, remaining unbeaten on 32 off 17 balls, ensuring the team reached an imposing 200/6 in their 20 overs. Despite the carnage, Harshal Patel (2/31) and Kamindu Mendis (1/4) stood out with the ball for SRH.
Chasing 201 for victory, SRH's innings imploded right from the outset. Travis Head (4) edged Vaibhav Arora's second delivery to Harshit Rana at slip, setting the tone for a disastrous powerplay.
Harshit Rana then removed Abhishek Sharma (2) in the second over before Ishan Kishan (2) fell in the next, leaving SRH reeling at 9/3. From there, it was an uphill battle, and despite some resistance from Heinrich Klaasen (33 off 21) and Kamindu Mendis (27 off 20), the collapse continued.
Andre Russell (2/20) dismissed Nitish Kumar Reddy (19) and Harshal Patel (3), while Varun Chakaravarthy (3/22) spun a web around the lower order, claiming key wickets of Aniket Verma (6), Pat Cummins (14), and Simarjeet Singh (0).
With wickets tumbling in clusters, SRH folded for a paltry 120 in just 16.4 overs, handing KKR a massive 80-run win.
