KKR vs SRH: Shah Rukh Khan and Gautam Gambhir-inspired memes took over the internet after Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bowlers ran riot against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the IPL 2024 final at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday, May 26.

SRH's decision to bat first backfired as they were reduced to 21/3 in 4.2 overs first, and before KKR bowlers inflicted more damage and bundled the 2016 champions out for 113/10 in 18.3 overs.

Later, KKR batters chased down the target of 114 in 10.3 overs to register an emphatic victory. The Shreyas Iyer-led side's dominant show over Pat Cummins & Co. guided KKR to a third title triumph.

Mitchell Starc drew first blood by cleaning the stumps of in-form Abhishek Sharma (2). Vaibhav Arora dismissed dangerous Travis Head for a duck before Starc struck again in the fifth over to remove Rahul Tripathi (9).

Later, Nitish Reddy also joined the party by sending Nitish Reddy (13) packing. Former SRH captain Aiden Markram played 23 balls for 20 runs before being dismissed by Andre Russell. The T20 World Cup-bound West Indies also picked the wicket of Abdul Samad (4).

Shahbaz Ahmed became Varun Chakravarthy's 21st scalp in the IPL 2024 before Rana struck for the second time to help KKR get rid of Henrich Klaasen (16).

Pat Cummins and Jaydev Unadkat forged a 23-run partnership off 22 balls for the ninth wicket. Narine broke the stand by trapping Unadkat (4) in front of the stumps. Russell dismissed Cummins (24) and finished with figures of 3/19 in 2.3 overs as SRH were bundled out for 113 in 18.3 overs.
