Kolkata Knight Riders haven't had the smoothest start to their IPL 2024 campaign. They have lost three wickets within the powerplay after being put into bat by Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins.

KKR made a decent start, but lost three wickets quickly. Their captain Shreyas Iyer also had a terrible home debut, as he got dismissed for a duck.

Shreyas Iyer is making a return to IPL after his one-year hiatus. But it didn't bode well for the KKR skipper as Natarajan picked him up. Iyer driver one towards mid-off and Pat Cummins completed a simple catch.

Iyer has been under the pump for all the wrong reasons in 2024. He had a dismal first two Test against England which saw him dropped from the Indian team. Then the player was not offered a central contract by BCCI, and his back injury has also reportedly recurred. Amid that, Iyer would have longed for a decent start to the IPL, but that hasn't happened either.

After Iyer got dismissed without troubling the scorers, fans vented their disappointment on social media.

This fan was not happy the way KKR batters were gifting their wickets away.
