KL Rahul has been one of the important assets in the IPL. Having played 132 games, he scored 4683 runs including four centuries and 37 fifties. However, his future with the Lucknow Super Giants seems uncertain following a heated discussion with the team owner, Sanjeev Goenka in the IPL 2024 season.

Things didn't go well between him and the owner following LSG's crushing 10-wicket defeat to Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2024 season. This humiliating defeat marked a tough season for LSG, as they failed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time since their debut in 2022, finishing seventh on the points table.

KL Rahul who has been a key player for the franchise, recently met with Goenka in Kolkata. The recent meeting only added fuel to the rumours about his possible departure. In case Rahul is released, several teams might be keen to sign him in the upcoming auction. Here are three teams that could be eyeing KL Rahul.

1. Royal Challengers Bengaluru: KL Rahul could be a perfect fit for his former team, RCB, where he played from 2013 to 2016. RCB has struggled with consistency and leadership in recent years. They must be on the lookout for a strong captain as Faf du Plessis couldn't use his tricks and trade to help the team.

Meanwhile, Rahul could provide the stability RCB needs both as a leader and as a top-order batsman. 2. Chennai Super Kings: CSK might also be a potential destination for KL Rahul. With MS Dhoni's future remains uncertain and Rishabh Pant reportedly not interested in joining CSK, the five-time IPL champions will be looking for a reliable wicketkeeper-batsman.

Rahul previously captained PBKS for two years (2020, 2021) before moving to LSG. Punjab Kings have long been in search of a strong captain to steer them to success.

The team has not won an IPL title since the inception of the tournament in 2008. The last time they reached the playoffs was back in 2014, when they finished as runners-up of that season, losing to KKR in the showdown.
