Knight Riders fined for slow over rate again

Kolkata, May 14 (UNI) The Kolkata Knight Riders were fined for slow over rate -the third consecutive match- during their Indian Premier League (IPL) win against the Delhi Daredevils last night.

The Kolkata squad, who paid a penalty of 1000 dollars, were found two overs behind schedule.

The Knight Riders incurred a 500 dollar fine in their very first match when they took on the Bangalore Royal Challengers in the IPL opener on April 18. They were found an over short of the schedule on that occasion.

In their previous match against the Deccan Chargers at Hyderabad, Sourav Ganguly's boys fell two overs short and were fined 1000 dollars.

The IPL follows the ICC Playing Conditions and Rules, according to which teams bowling slow over rate are fined 500 dollars per over.
