When one of the most successful cricket captain Dhoni was prodded about the same, he was quoted as saying, " "I have to do my post-cricket plans you see. I don't mark the stumps that I collect. (Post-retirement) I'd watch the matches, look at the stumps and say 'ok, this is from that match'. I have enough to keep me occupied for years."
But a media report says that this is not the only reason why Dhoni is so obsessed about collecting stumps. It is being said that he does this for his childhood friend Kulbinder.
Son of a watchman, Kulbinder was the one who used to encourage Dhoni to adopt cricket during schooldays. Kulbinder who was also an avid lover of cricket couldn't make it big, but he always wished Dhoni to adopt cricket as career.
Mahi's best friend Kulbinder is not doing good these days, though he doesn't ask for any monetary help from Dhoni.
Reportedly, Kulbinder who has made a small house for himself now wants Dhoni to give him 320 cricket stumps. Kulbinder will utilize these stumps to fence his house.
