From its beginnings in 1871, Adelaide Oval has hosted some of cricket's defining moments. Adelaide Oval was the home ground for Sir Donald Bradman for most of his career. Today it is home to the South Australian Cricket Association and the Adelaide Strikers team in the
Big Bash League.

Significant reconstruction of Adelaide Oval was completed in 2014, expanding the venue's capacity, providing the latest in spectator experience, while maintaining the historic spectator hill beneath the Moreton Bay fig trees.
