Kohli, Gayle or someone else? AB de Villiers picks his 'The Best' T20 player

De Villiers was a master of hitting across the ground and was known as Mr 360 for his supremacy to exploit every angle of the ground. But who is the best T20 player according to De Villiers himself?

Well, the South African stalwart has played with many big names in his career. In the T20 format, he has played many franchise competitions across the globe, but perhaps his name is synonymous with the IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore.

At RCB, De Villiers was part of the holy trinity along with Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli. Although the trio couldn't deliver silverware, but they have given the RCB fans countless joyous memories with their destructive batting.

So who is the best T20 player - Chris Gayle, the Universal boss or Run Machine Virat Kohli? After being asked, De Villiers reckoned both Kohli and Gayle as legends but he picked Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan as the greatest T20 player.

"My greatest T20 player of all time is none other than Rashid Khan. He delivers with bat and ball. Match winner in both departments; he is a livewire in the field and has got the heart of a lion. He always wants to win; he's very competitive, and he's right there with one of the best T20 players. Not one of the best, the best", he said South African broadcasters SuperSport.

Rashid Khan, the Afghanistan magician has 126 T20I wickets to his name, third-highest in the format. The 24-year-old has been a stellar performer in the T20 format and along with his lethal bowling, he is known for his batting prowess lower down the order.

In the IPL, Rashid joined Sunrisers Hyderabad and picked up 93 wickets in his five years at the franchise. The Afghan joined Gujarat Titans last year and picked up 19 wickets as the Titans lifted the IPL in their debut season.
