KOL vs SRH Dream11 prediction: Kolkata Knight Riders will play hosts to Sunrisers Hyderabad in match no. 19 of the IPL 2023 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Friday (March 14; 7:30 PM IST). Both sides are coming into the game confident as they won their respective last games.

Kolkata Knight Riders defeated defending champions Gujarat Titans in a thriller with Rinku Singh firing famously firing five sixes in the last over. This was also their second win on the trot after getting better of Royal Challengers Bangalore earlier.

Sunrisers Hyderabad, on the other hand, got the better of Punjab Kings for their maiden win of the season. SRH also won their last match against KKR but the latter lead the head-to-head between the sides 15-8, including four wins in the last five games.

KOL vs SRH injury update

KOL injury update Kolkata Knight Riders have no fresh injury concerns reported on the eve of the game.

Key players Nitish Rana and Venkatesh Iyer returned to form in the last game with the latter also scoring a fluent 83-run knock while Rinku Singh is talk of the town after his memorable heroics. Rahmanullah Gurbaz is tasked with providing a good start at the top while his new partner N Jagadeeshan didn't click in his first appearance for the franchise.

However, it's their spin trio of Sunil Narine, Varun Chakaravarthy and Suyash Sharma that will worry their rivals after their stunning show against RCB at the home venue. The pace bowling relies on Umesh Yadav, Shardul Thakur and Lockie Ferguson, with the latter known for taking wickets in the death overs.

Thakur has been impactful with his bat in his last inning at the venue, scoring one of the fastest fifty of the season. This has allowed lessening the team's dependency on Andre Russell to provide fireworks at the fag end of the innings while the Windies all-rounder has failed to perform with the bat.

SRH injury update Sunrisers have no injury concerns reported prior to the game.

SRH key players Mayank Markande has emerged as a key player, especially ahead of KKR's turning pitch, as the spinner took 4/15 in the last game while Rahul Tripathi found form with a match-winning 70-odd innings in the last game. Aiden Markram also brought his international form to the IPL as he had a crucial stand with Tripathi.

At the top, Mayank Agarwal is having a quiet IPL so far. In two games, the opener got off to a good start with innings of 21 and 27 but couldn't consolidate on them. Also in three games, he had three opening partners in three games. Anmolpreet Singh made a decent contribution of 31 against Gujarat Titans but was replaced by Harry Brooks for the next game in the hope of an explosive start. The Englishman, however, could only score 13.

Heinrich Klaasen and Washington Sundar provide further depth in the middle order with the South African yet to bat this IPL since making his debut for SRH in the last game. The wicketkeeper-batter scored a century in SA20 back in February in just 44 deliveries but his bat went silent in back-to-back white-ball series for South Africa. Sundar is having a quiet IPL as well but could be crucial at Eden Gardens with his spin bowling.

The same reason could pave the way for Adil Rashid to play the next game after he sat out the last one. Among pacers, Marco Jansen replaced Fazalhaq Farooqi and made his case with a fabulous spell of 2/16, including a maiden.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar looked convincing with the new ball but went for runs at the death. Left-arm pacer T Natarajan hasn't been as sharp as he was before. Umran Malik is picking up further pace as he doubled his wicket tally to four with two wickets in the last game.

KOL vs SRH pitch report

The Eden Gardens pitch has run on the offer once a batter spends some time on it. The surface, however, tends to slow down considerably as the season progresses, making spin more effective on the surface. It could be considered a more even pitch in that sense for both bowlers and batters as pacers get some movement with the new ball in the evening with the breeze coming in from the Hooghly River nearby.
