Kolkata Knight Riders IPL 2024 Squad: Kolkata Knight Riders have gone into the IPL 2024 auction with 13 players in their squad.

KKR released 11 players ahead of the auction. Shreyas Iyer has returned to the fray after missing out on IPL 2023 with a back injury. The Indian batter is also set to lead KKR in the upcoming season as they aim to get into the playoffs after consecutive failures.

The Knights opted to not bring any players during the trade window and released some big money names like Shardul Thakur, and Lockie Ferguson. They will be going into the auction with a decent purse of INR 32.7 crore and will have to ideally buy 12 players.

KKR IPL 2024 Retained Players

KKR have 12 squad slots available in the auction with four overseas slots. They currently have four foreigners in the squad, namely Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell and Jason Roy.

Kolkata's first piece of business has come with the signing of Indian wicketkeeper K.S. Bharat. Then they broke the bank and shattered the records, spending 24.75 crore for Mitchell Starc.

There three other buys have been cheap ones, getting Chetan Sakariya, Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Ramandeep Singh on their base prices.

The Knights have also roped in Sherfane Rutherford, Mujeeb ur Rahman in the auction.
