Kolkata Knight Riders star Sunil Narine has announced his retirement from international cricket.
The former West Indies player took to social media on Sunday and announced his retirement from the international arena.

Narine, who last played for the West Indies in 2019, is still active in franchise cricket and will continue to be so. The player posted on his Instagram account and said he is 'eternally grateful' for his career.
"I appreciate it has been over four years since I last played for West Indies. But today I am announcing my retirement from International Cricket," a statement from Sunil Narine read.
"I would like to acknowledge and thank Cricket West Indies, the coaching staff, passionate West Indies fans and of course, my teammates, who enabled me play at the highest level in all formats and with some memorable successes,"the statement further read.
The player also confirmed this season will be last for him in the domestic 50-over format, but made it clear that he will be available for franchise cricket.
"I am also taking this opportunity to bow out of domestic 50 over cricket. I love representing Trinidad and Tobago, the country of my birth, and to add another title by winning this current Super50 Cup will be the perfect send off," it read.
"Needless to say, outside of this it will continue to be business as usual for me in the franchise world for the foreseeable future," the statement from Narine concluded.
Sunil Narine made his West Indies debut back in 2011 and has represented them in all formats. He has played 6 Tests, 65 ODIs and 51 T20Is for the Caribbean, and has picked up 165 wickets across all international formats.
His IPL stint with the Kolkata Knight Riders has further enhanced his reputation as one of the most effective mystery spinners in T20 cricket. With Sunil in their ranks, KKR has bagged the IPL title twice. His controlled bowling in powerplays and ability to take vital wickets made him an invaluable asset to the team.
