KPL: Brad Haddin appointed Mysuru Warriors' mentor

Mysuru, Sep 4: Mysuru Warriors have appointed former Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Brad Haddin as the team's mentor for the Karnataka Premier League (KPL) Twenty20 tournament, 2016.

Haddin's signing is huge for KPL as he becomes the first major former international to be associated with the league which is in its 5th edition this year.

Haddin represented Australia in all 3 forms of international cricket- Test, One-Day Internationa and Twenty20 International. He also played for the New South Wales Blues.

The 38-year-old Haddin played 66 Tests, 126 ODIs and 34 T20Is.

He was a member of the Australian World Cup winning team in 2015. Haddin retired from ODI cricket in 2015. He also became the ambassador for his home ground, SydneyCricket Ground (SCG) along with Steve Smith.

Commenting on this association, Arjun Ranga, owner of Mysuru Warriors, said, "We are delighted to have Mr. Haddin on board as a mentor for Mysuru Warriors in the upcoming KPL. We are sure that his experience in the international arena will bring a lot of exposure to our players, and will help them reach the next level".

Mysuru Warriors are aiming to reach new high with the help and guidance of Haddin.

This year's KPL will be played from September 16 to October 1 in Mysuru and Hubballi.
