Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav has expressed his eagerness to visit Pakistan for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy in 2025. The tournament, set to be hosted by Pakistan, has sparked considerable debate over whether India will participate, given the tense political relations between the two countries.
India's last visit to Pakistan was in 2008, and the BCCI has indicated that the final decision will rest with the Indian government's External Affairs Ministry.

Despite the uncertainty, Yadav remains optimistic about the opportunity to play in Pakistan. While speaking to Voice of Australians during an event Down Under, he shared his excitement, saying, "I am just a normal cricketer, wherever they send us we will go to play. Obviously, I haven't travelled to Pakistan before, so there is excitement. The people are very good, and I will play with them whenever I get the chance."
The Champions Trophy 2025 is a significant event as it marks the return of the tournament after an eight-year hiatus. Pakistan is gearing up to host an ICC event individually on its soil for the first time in history, and preparations are in full swing.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has already submitted its plans to the ICC, proposing three major venues: Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi. Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium is set to host all of India's matches, given the security concerns that necessitate a controlled environment.
The PCB is also investing heavily in upgrading its facilities to meet international standards. The Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi, and the Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium are all undergoing significant renovations to ensure they are ready for the tournament. These upgrades are part of a broader effort to present Pakistan as a capable and secure host for international cricket.
While the BCCI has yet to make a formal decision, the enthusiasm from players like Kuldeep Yadav may suggest that there is a desire within the team to participate if given the opportunity.
