Kumble to announce retirement from one-day cricket tomorrow
Bangalore, Mar 29 (UNI) Clearing all speculations, ace leg spinner Anil Kumble has decided to make a formal announcement of his retirement from the shorter version of the game tomorrow.
According to Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) Secretary Brijesh Patil, the champion leggie would be making the formal announcement tomorrow evening at the KSCA.
The 36-year-old spinner, who returned to the city early today after team India's disastrous World Cup outing in West Indies, had already expressed his desire in the Caribbean itself.
Kumble featured in India's only victory of the cup against Bermuda and claimed 3/38.
The genial sportsperson, who is better known for his ten wicket haul in an innings against Pakistan, had been the most successful one-day bowler for India, claiming 337 wickets in 271 matches.
