New Delhi, May 10: Lalit Modi gets a breather as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has given its nod to the suspended Indian Premier League (IPL) commissioner's request for more time to respond to the show-cause notice slapped against him.
The BCCI suspended and served Modi with a show-cause notice on Apr 26 over allegations of financial irregularity and behavioural impropriety in connection with the Twenty-20 cricket series.
Modi was given a time of 15 days to file his response to the notice.
Earlier on Monday, May 10, Lalit Modi had sought time till Saturday, May 15 to submit his defense.
