Lara elects to bat; India rests Tendulkar, Ganguly in
Trelawny, Jamaica, Mar 09 (UNI) West Indies skipper Brian Lara won the toss and elected to bat against India in their last warm up match in prepration of the World Cup here today.
Contrary to speculations, Sourav Ganguly and Irfan Pathan were included in the Indian side while Sachin Tendulkar and Sreesanth were rested from the 13-member side which is allowed to play in the warm-up match.
Skipper Rahul Dravid later said Tendulkar was left out because of a niggle while Sreesanth misses out this match.
This is India's second and last warm-up match before they kick start their World Cup campaign against Bangladesh on March 17.
India had beaten Holland by 182 runs in their first warm-up match.
