Lara still offering batting tips to out-of-form team mates

London, June 6 (UNI) Former West Indies skipper Brain lara might have retired from captaincy but that didn't stop the cricketing legend from offering batting tips to his team mates ahead of the third Test against England starting at Old Trafford tomorrow.

''Brian still has a lot to offer West Indian cricket. Anything going wrong with our batters, if he can't contact them, Brian will pass it on to me,'' all-rounder Dwayne Bravo said.

Lara, who retired just after the caribbean World Cup, wanted to be a part of the team touring England but the 38-year-old decided to retire after the mega event paving the way for new generation cricketers.

''At Lord's he was in the dressing room among the guys and it is very nice to know that even after he called it a day he still has enough time to come and make himself available to the younger players, '' Bravo was quoted as saying by BBC.

''He told me to keep my head up and to pass on some information, as far as batting was concerned, into the dressing room,'' he added.

West Indies were beaten by an innings in the second Test in Leeds to go 1-0 down in the series against England.
