Delhi Royals secured their maiden victory in the Legend 90 League with a dominant 41-run triumph over Rajasthan Kings in Match 4 at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium, and their skipper Shikhar Dhawan was finally all smiles.
Opting to bowl first, Rajasthan Kings found themselves on the back foot immediately as Shikhar Dhawan set the tone with a flurry of boundaries. The Delhi Royals opener dazzled in the powerplay, striking three consecutive fours off Ankit Rajpoot and forging a 60-run opening stand with Lendl Simmons. Though dismissed early, Dhawan's aggressive intent laid the foundation for a formidable total.

Simmons carried the momentum forward, hammering 87 off just 39 balls, while Angelo Perera's blistering 54* off 24 ensured Delhi Royals posted an imposing 195/3 in 15 overs.
Rajasthan's chase began on a disastrous note, with Phil Mustard falling for a duck to Parvinder Awana's wicket-maiden. Gaurav Tomar and Rajesh Bishnoi offered brief resistance, but Bipul Sharma's decisive 3/18 derailed their pursuit. Rajat Singh (48* off 32) fought hard, but Delhi's disciplined bowling attack kept Rajasthan to 154/4, sealing a resounding win.
After the victory, the Royals captain Shikhar Dhawan was ecstatic as he acknowledged the importance of the victory after losing the first match.
"I feel that and we got a good total and then the bowlers did a great job. It was very important for us to win this game. We have a decent squad and we would like to qualify for the final," Dhawan said after the match.
