The third edition of the Legends League Cricket - LLC 2024 is all set to get under way with the league phase, starting from Friday (September 20). The T20 tournament featuring legends of the game will be played over the next few days in phased manner.

A total of 25 matches will be played among the six teams and the last two teams standing will play an electrifying final on October 16. The franchise-based tournament will unfold across four cities- Jodhpur, Surat, Jammu and finally bring cricket back to Srinagar after 40 long years.

The tournament will feature former international stalwarts such as Harbhajan Singh, Suresh Raina, Mohammad Kaif, Aaron Finch, Martin Guptill, Gautam Gambhir, Chris Gayle, Hashim Amla, Ross Taylor, and many others showcasing their skills.

This season the LLC will also welcome the Indian Legends, Shikhar Dhawan, Dinesh Karthik, Ambati Rayudu, Dhawal Kulkarni and Kedar Jadhav, who will all be making their debut at the Legends League Cricket.

Legends League Cricket 2024 Format

The six teams - India Capitals, Gujarat Greats, Toyam Hyderabad, Southern Superstars, Manipal Tigers and Konark Surya Odisha (formerly Bhilwara Kings) have been divided into two groups of three teams with every team playing seven matches each.

In the league phase, each team will play the remaining teams of their respective group twice and the ones on the opposite group once. The top four teams at the end of the league stage will then head to the playoffs.

In the playoffs, the first and second placed teams will first play for a direct entry into the final via the Qualifier, while the third and fourth ranked teams will clash in a direct knock out match via the Eliminator to book a spot in the semifinal.

In the semifinal, the loser of the Qualifier will get a second chance of reaching the final when they take on the winner from the Eliminator to earn the spot in the title clash, which is scheduled to be staged on October 16 in Srinagar.

Legends League Cricket will kick off at the Barkatullah Khan Stadium, Jodhpur on the 20th of September, making its way to the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium, Surat on the 27th of September.

The third leg will be played at the Maulana Azad Stadium, Jammu from the 3rd of October where international cricket made a comeback after 40 years with the fans finally getting the chance to watch their favourite cricketing heroes live in action.

The ultimate leg of the LLC will be played at the Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar from the 9th of October till the 16th of October where the fans have eagerly waited for close to half a century to watch cricketing action live. Here is a look at the LLC 2024 full schedule:
