Legends League Cricket: Konark Suryas Odisha Full Squad for LLC 2024, Key Players, Captain

LLC 2024: Konark Suryas Odisha bought 12 players in the auction for the Legends League Cricket Season three. The franchise, known as Bhilwara Kings until the previous season, has been acquired by a new franchise.

Having been rebranded as the first cricket team from the state of Odisha in the competition, Konark Suryas are in a way making their debut this season and are being led by former India pacer Irfan Pathan.

They spent heavily on former New Zealand batter Ross Taylor and bought him for INR 50.34 lakhs. Taylor was the prolific run-scorer for the Black Caps across all three formats. Odisha roped in retired Indian spinner Shahbaz Nadeem for INR 35 lakhs.

Kevin O'Brien, a former Irish all-rounder, who scored a brilliant hundred against England in the 2011 ODI World Cup, went to Odisha for INR 29.17 lakhs. Fast bowler Vinay Kumar, who bowled many brilliant spells for Karnataka and teams in the IPL, was roped in by Odisha for a price of INR 33 lakhs.

Richard Levi, who has a 45-ball T20I hundred to his name and played for Mumbai Indians in the IPL, will now represent Odisha. Ben Laughlin is known for his clever change of pace, and Odisha will be hoping for the pacer to put his best foot forward in the upcoming tournament.

Sri Lankan batter Dilshan Munaweera, West Indies fast bowler Fidel Edwards, and Indian leg-spinner Pravin Tambe are some of the other major players in the Odisha squad.

Earlier, Odisha retained their Indian duo of Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan, who were both a part of India's T20 World Cup-winning squad back in 2007.
