Former World Cup-winning India star and four-time IPL champion with Chennai Super Kings Suresh Raina was among the six players to be roped in by the two new franchises of the Legends League Cricket (LLC) before the Player Draft on Wednesday (October 18).
Raina was acquired by Urbanrisers Hyderabad along with former New Zealand opener Martin Guptill and West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Smith, while former Australia captain Aaron Finch, Bangladesh spinner Abdur Razzak and Sri Lanka opener Upul Tharanga were roped in by Southern Super Stars.

The former India star Raina had made himself available for the next edition of the LLC along with several other legends of the game like Robin Uthappa and Shaun Marsh among others.
The LLC Players Draft will feature over 200 players from across 12 countries and will take place at the Qutub Minar, with franchisee representatives along with marquee players and coaches attending the event virtually.
The next season of the Legends League Cricket, which is scheduled to be held across five venues from November 18 to December 9, will see six teams compete as Urbanrisers Hyderabad and Southern Super Stars make their debut in the T20 league.
The Urbanrisers Hyderabad and Southern Super Stars join Manipal Tigers, India Capitals, Bhilwara Kings and Gujarat Giants in the T20 league that will see legends of the sport set the stage on fire.
All the six teams have announced their three retained players before heading into the players draft, where they will assemble their squad for the 19-match tournament, which starts next month.
Next season of LLC will see a total of 19 matches which will be played in India across five Ranchi, Dehradun, Jammu, Vizag, and Surat. Legends League Cricket has chosen these venues in an effort to give fans in these cities an experience like never before with over 100 international cricketers playing there.
