The tournament in India has also seen the most sixes struck by a team in a single World Cup as South Africa took their tally to 82 maximums, surpassing the previous best of 76 sixes in the 2019 World Cup.

More sixes record may be in sight during the rest of the tournament as Rohit Sharma closes in on Chris Gayle for most sixes in ODI World Cup history and the total number of sixes in a single World Cup was also breached in the 2023 edition.
