Longest Sixes in T20 World Cup 2024: Rovman Powell or Phil Salt - Who Has Hit The Biggest Six?

T20 World Cup 2024 has not been easy for batters thanks to the sluggish surfaces on offer at the venues across USA and the Caribbean, but we have still seen some batters flex their muscles to the hit ball out of the park.

Over 450 sixes have been struck in around 50 matches in the show-piece tournament so far with some of those maximums even travelling outside stadiums or at least landing on the roof tops of some of the stands.

Rovman Powell and Phil Salt feature in the list for Longest sixes in T20 World Cup 2024

There have been some big hits, crossing over the 100-meter mark struck during the T20 World Cup 2024. Most recently, England skipper Jos Buttler took USA's Harmeet Singh to the cleaners and also hit one of the longest sixes in T20 World Cup 2024.

However, Buttler's effort of 104 meters hit was just shy off the longest six in the tournament, a feat which is currently being held by West Indies skipper Rovman Powell, who hit a mammoth 107-meter six in the group stage game.

Nepal's Sompal Kami and Afghanistan's Rahmanullah Gurbaz also came close to Powell's distance for the biggest six in T20 World Cup 2024, but fell just short of the 107m.

Apart from those four biggies, there have been a few more 100 meter plus or around the century mark hits this year featuring the likes of Aaron Jones, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya. Here is a look at the biggest sixes in the tournament so far:

  • Michael Leask (Scotland) - 101 metres vs Namibia
  • Rohit Sharma (India) - 100 meters vs Australia
  • Azmatullah Omarzai (Afghanistan) - 100 metres vs India

As mentioned earlier, Powell sits on top of the list for the biggest six in the ongoing marquee event, but the big-hitting West Indies batter is far off the longest sixes in T20 World Cup history. That list is led by India great Yuvraj Singh. Check out the top 5 longest sixes in T20 World Cup:
