Pakistan announced their Asia Cup 2023 squad on Wednesday. The 17-member squad has five players who are currently part of the ongoing Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2023.

The likes of Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman and Naseem Shah are doing a perfect dress rehearsal for the continental showpiece event which will kick off from August 30. Notably, nine of the thirteen matches in the tournament will be staged in Sri Lanka. Babar is deliberately playing in the league to get a hand of the Sri Lankan conditions.
