LPL 2024 Final Live Streaming: Jaffna Kings and Galle Marvels will be locking horns in the final of Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2024 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday, July 21.

Jaffna Kings defeated defending champions Kandy Falcons in the Qualifier 2 in Colombo on Saturday, July 20. Batting first Jaffna scored 187/7 after an unbeaten hundred from Kusal Mendis, who smashed 12 fours and five sixes en route to his 54-ball 105.

In reply, a four-wicket haul from Fabian Allen and 3/30 from Vijayakanth Viyaskanth left Kandy Falcons reeling at 144/8 in 17.3 overs. They needed 38 runs off the last 12 balls when Ramesh Mendis gave them a late scare with his 30 not out from just 11 balls. Four runs were needed off the final delivery, and three for a Super Over but Mendis could manage only two runs on the final ball as Jaffna qualified for their third final in the last four years.

Earlier on July 18, Galle Marvels had defeated Jaffna Kings by seven wickets in the Qualifier 1 to earn a direct entry in the LPL 2024 final. While Jaffna will be led by Charith Asalanka, wicketkeeper-batter Niroshan Dickwella will captain Galle in the final.
