The IPL 2024 is just six days away from getting underway. Meanwhile, all ten teams will be devising a strategy to eye for the elusive title. Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants are among the two new teams in the IPL.
The Lucknow-based franchise made their entry into the competition in 2022. They qualified for the playoffs in the last two seasons of the IPL. Under KL Rahul's captaincy, LSG finished third on the table in the last two editions.

Their debut campaign came to a close when they lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Eliminator. In the subsequent season, they lost to Mumbai Indians in the Eliminator. They must be absolutely gutted with themselves for not taking their game to the next level after qualifying for playoffs.
Nevertheless, this time around, they might give it their best shot at the big prize. LSG's think-tank will be fielding their strongest playing XI in the upcoming season and let's now take a glimpse at the strongest playing XI.
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) Probable Playing XI for IPL 2024
KL Rahul knows exactly what he needs to do as a captain and batsman going forward in the next season. He will be opening the batting alongside attacking wicketkeeper batter Quinton de Kock. The right and left hand experienced combination will do a world of good for the team.
LSG traded Devdutt Padikkal for Avesh Khan with Rajasthan Royals and the left-hander is expected to be a strong support to the team's top order. Nicholas Pooran will be playing as a pure batter for the franchise and the Caribbean is capable of changing the complexion of the game, courtesy of the fearless approach he brings to the table.
Marcus Stoinis who was the leading run-getter for LSG last season with 408 runs will be looking to continuing with same template this time too. He can be highly effective in bowling the slower trick balls to deceive the batters.
LSG have another all-rounder in the form of Krunal Pandya who can contribute to scoring runs lower down the order and take wickets when it matters. Meanwhile, Ayush Badoni, the 24-year-old prospect who just started to get the hang of things in the IPL, scoring 399 runs for LSG in the last two seasons will be embracing the challenge with open arms.
Shivam Mavi was acquired by the franchise for INR 6.4 crore at the auction and the UP fast bowler will have a point to prove to justify his price tag. Shamar Joseph who was roped in by the franchise as a replacement for injured Mark Wood will be eyeing to lit up the IPL in his debut season following his bowling masterclass at the Gabba.
Ravi Bishnoi who is known for his potential to deceive the batters by generating turn will be licking his lips to weave the magic with the ball in the next season. Mohsin Khan who operates as a left-arm medium fast bowler has taken 17 wickets in 14 matches for LSG at an economy of 7.07 and will be expecting to perform even better this time around.
