Lucknow Super Giants are up against Chennai Super Kings in Match 34 of IPL 2024 on Friday (April 19).

LSG and CSK are set to face for the first time this season and both teams would aim for a victory for different reasons. Chennai would be hoping to solidify their position in the playoff race while Lucknow aim to get into the race by entering in the top four of the points table.

LSG made a valiant chase out of it as KL Rahul and Kyle Mayers went off to a flying start. But as Mayers fell after scoring 53, the Lucknow side kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. In the end, they could only manage 205 and lost the match by 12 runs. Moeen Ali was the star of the CSK bowling with 4 wickets and the Englishman was awarded as the Player of the Match.

The BRSAVB Ekana Stadium hosted this match and LSG batted first. On a slow track, they could manage 125 for 7 in 19.2 overs when the heavens opened up. The relentless rain continued and thus abandoned the match. The two teams shared the spoils.
