Mark Wood took LSG vs DC IPL 2023 match by storm as the English pacer clean bowled a set Prithvi Shaw and an in-form Mitchell Marsh of back-to-back deliveries. His lightening quick bowling gave Lucknow Super Giants an upper hand against Delhi Capitals, who were in deep trouble while chasing 194 at Lucknow's Ekana Stadium. Watch video below

Wood also took his third wicket in Sarfaraz Khan in the next over as the visiting side went from 41/0 in the fifth over to 48/3 by the seventh over. Mark Wood took the wickets of Shaw and Marsh in the fifth over in what appeared to be identical dismissals.
The delivery bowled to Shaw was clicked at 147.3 kmph and dropped on the length and angled into the off stump. The opener made an effort to hammer it away but was beaten by the pace as it went through the huge gap between bat and pad to take the stumps. The delivery in many ways reminded a lot of Shaw's struggle against Mitchell Starc during the Border Gavaskar series in 2020-21.
Marsh also faced the next delivery at 147.8 kmph and dropped on the length outside the off stump and nipped in sharply to knock over the off stumps while the Australian was beaten by the pace and movement.
Sarfaraz Khan saw off the hat-trick delivery by ducking a bouncer, which was eventually called a no-ball. The Mumbai batter's stay on the crease remained short as in the next over he couldn't deal with the bouncer right around his neck. Sarfaraz went for a half-hearted upper cut, which took an edge and was caught at fine leg by K Gowtham.
