In Match 21 of IPL 2024, Lucknow Super Giants will lock horns with Gujarat Titans at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Sunday (April 7).

LSG vs GT IPL 2024

The Super Giants started their campaign with a loss against RR but managed to come back and win two matches whereas last year's finalists played four matches this season and managed to win only two of them. In their last match, PBKS beat them by 3 wickets in a high-score chase-off.

IPL 2024 LSG vs GT: Bowling Squad Comparison

LSG's bowling unit is certainly devoid of experienced bowlers. Amit Mishra, the seasoned Indian spinner, is the lone exception. In this IPL, as in the previous one, LSG will again rely on young talents. Noteworthy bowlers to keep an eye on include Deepak Hooda, Marcus Stoinis, Yash Thakur, Naveen ul Haq, Shamar Joseph, Mayank Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi, and Krunal Pandya.

Like the previous season, this year also the Titans' bowling unit is full of incredibly experienced and skillful bowlers. As a result of the GT bowling unit’s outstanding performance in the previous season, only GT bowlers finished in the top three in the race for the purple cap. The Titans, with players like Mohit Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Rashid Khan, Sai Kishore, Noor Ahmad, and Spencer Johnson, have enough firepower in their lineup to carry Gujarat through the IPL despite Mohammed Shami's injury.

IPL 2024 LSG vs GT: Who will get maximum wickets?

Mayank Yadav (LSG): The 24-year-old is certainly one of the best discoveries of this IPL. Yadav came into the limelight after his fiery bowling with 150-plus kmph speed and excellent control in the last two matches of LSG. He is the highest wicket-taker for Lucknow with 6 wickets in two matches with a very meagre economy rate of 5.12. With him in the squad, LSG will certainly start the match with confidence against the experienced batters-packed Titans.

Krunal Pandya (LSG): Krunal Pandya's experience and guile with the slow nature of Lucknow's pitch can be a huge weapon for Lucknow in the middle overs. Pandya has done well in patches with the ball this season and will be keen to make a mark with his left-arm spin.

Mohit Sharma (GT): The Indian right-arm fast bowler is currently the highest wicket-taker for the Titans in IPL 2024 with 7 wickets in four matches. The 35-year-old veteran was the second-highest wicket-taker in the last IPL with 27 wickets in 14 matches. He bagged 126 wickets in his IPL career. Along with Umesh Yadav, he will spearhead the GT pace attack.

Azmatullah Omarzai (GT): Expectations are high for this young Afghan cricket player after some outstanding performances in international cricket. He had a strong start to his IPL debut, grabbing four wickets at a decent economy rate in the first four games. The 24-year-old medium-fast bowler is expected to play a pivotal role in the fixture against the Giants.

LSG is brimming with confidence after winning two matches back to back. On the other hand, visitors will face the hosts after losing in the home matches. The last year's finalists will try their best to improve their position in the points table while the Giants will do the same to cement their spot for the playoffs. Hence, a fierce battle can be expected on this Sunday evening match.
