A ballboy took a fantastic catch in the IPL 2024 match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants on Sunday (May 5) at the Ekana Stadium.

KKR are playing LSG in an important match in Lucknow and KKR posted 235 runs after being put into bat by LSG captain KL Rahul.

In the Lucknow run chase, during the 3rd over of the match, Vaibhav Arora's slower short ball was scooped by Marcus Stoinis over the third man who was inside the circle. The ball went off and cleared the fence, but it was plucked on the other side of the boundary by a ball boy.

He took the catch with ease and then after a momentary pose, threw it back in the field. The commentators were elated as the boy completed the catch. He was shown on the giant screen and the ball boy was beaming with a smile.

Soon after, LSG fielding coach Jonty Rhodes was captured by the camera and he clapped for the catch in acknowledgement, and then gestured like a signature with his hands, indicating a 'Sign Him Up' gesture. The boy saw Rhodes' reaction on the giant screen and was in absolute awe.
