Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians are set to collide in the knockout battle as the IPL 2023 Eliminator knocks on the door.
The crucial battle between the two sides will take place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Wednesday (May 24). LSG finished 3rd in the league table, just ahead of MI who finished 4th. The winner of this match will lock horns against the loser of Qualifier 1 between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings, while the loser goes home.

LSG and MI have so far met once this season, and Lucknow won the match by 5 runs. The five-time IPL champions MI haven't won a match against LSG in their three previous meetings so far.

LSG completed their group stage campaign with a narrow 1-run victory over KKR. And against MI, we may see them tweaking just a little bit.
With Chepauk's spin-friendly nature, they can add Amit Mishra to the squad. We may see the veteran coming on as an Impact Substitute if they bat first. Kyle Mayers can also come in to replace Naveen-ul-Haq. Rest it looks like they will retain the same team for the MI tie.
MI Team News vs LSG: Mumbai Indians have no such injury issues ahead of their Eliminator tie. It looks like their core 16 (including the Impact Subs) will remain the same and MI may stick with the same team.
Chris Jordan, Tim David, Cameron Green and Jason Behrendorff look set to be the overseas stars, but MI can make a tweak and bring in Riley Meredith in place of Jordan, or add someone like Dewald Brevis to further strengthen their batting if they chase.
