Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will look to open home campaign on a winning note when they take on Punjab Kings (PBKS) in match 11 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at the BRSABV Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Saturday (March 30).
KL Rahul-led LSG come into the match on the back of a season-opening 20-run loss to Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur, while Shikhar Dhawan’s PBKS, who opened the campaign with a win, lost to Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 4 wickets in their most recent outing.

Rahul (58 off 44) and Nicholas Pooran (64* off 41) saw their fifties go in vain as Rajasthan Royals rode on Sanju Samson’s unbeaten 82 off 52 followed by an excellent death-bowling display by Sandeep Sharma to seal the win in Jaipur.
PBKS, on the other hand, rode on Shashank Singh’s late cameo to set a target of 177, which RCB chased down in 19.2 overs thanks to Virat Kohli’s 77 off 49 followed by 18-ball 48 run stand between Dinesh Karthik (28* off 10) and Mahipal Lomror (17* off 8).
Now, LSG will look to open their account at their home – Ekana Stadium, where they won 3 and lost 3 of the seven fixtures last season with one match being no result. Plus, they will also be wary of their record against the Punjab-based side in Lucknow.
The two teams will meet only for the fourth time in IPL and will also collide at the Lucknow venue for the second time. Here is a look at the head to head numbers and all the other details.
In the 3 PBKS vs LSG head to head meetings in IPL, it’s Lucknow Super Giants, who hold the edge with 2 wins against Punjab Kings, who have won only one fixture against the 2022 debutants.
PBKS inspired by Sikandar Raza and Shahrukh Khan pulled off a 161-run chase at the home of Lucknow Super Giants last season, but the Lucknow-based side avenged that loss in style as they posted 257 before restricting Punjab to 201 in a high-scoring game at Mohali.
