LSG vs PBKS Toss Update, Playing 11 IPL 2025 Match 13: Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer opted to bowl first after winning the toss against Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on April 1, 2025 (Tuesday).
After winning the toss, Shreyas Iyer said: "We are going to bowl first. It's a new ground, new pitch, dew could be a factor as well and this being a red-soil pitch, we want to chase. The players have the freedom to express themselves.

"You have to play the situation, the important goal is to win. We try to keep things simple. We don't know how the pitch is going to play but we have to adjust quickly. Lockie comes into the team."
Meanwhile LSG captain Rishabh Pant said: "We wanted to bowl first but there are things which are not under our control so happy to bat first. There are a lot of people who have come to support us, we are definitely going to give our best. No changes for us."

The pitch at Ekana Stadium is entirely red soil, known for offering good pace and bounce. The venue is typically high-scoring, but bowlers can benefit from the large ground dimensions-70m and 64m square boundaries, with 77m down the ground. The surface has an even grass covering, ensuring a lively track with minimal seam movement. While dew won't be a major factor, spinners could find some turn and bounce.
