Lucknow Super Giants have restricted Royal Challengers Bangalore to 126/9 at the end of their 20 overs. RCB skipper Faf du Plessis chose to bat after winning the toss. Although LSG have to chase a moderate total, they may be missing their captain KL Rahul in the chase.
KL Rahul, the Lucknow Super Giants captain may not be coming to open the bat for his team as their chase resumes soon.

The LSG skipper KL Rahul suffered a serious injury during fielding. In the last ball of the 2nd over, Rahul pulled up while chasing a ball. He ran after the ball but in process pulled up and stumbled, damaging his hamstring and was in grimacing pain.
Physio and the medical staff came to the ground and the LSG captain had to be carried away with a stretcher. Rahul was unable to walk properly and was limping while going into the stretcher.
Here is the agonizing video of KL Rahul getting injured in the match against RCB on Monday-
It looks like KL Rahul has gone for scans and only a detailed investigation will determine the extent of his absence. From the first instance, it looked serious and looked like the player pulled or tore his hamstring muscle.
It does look like KL Rahul will be coming out to bat on the night. Ayush Badoni came to open the bat for LSG. But KL Rahul was seen with the bat in the LSG dugout. The player was still limping and came out to bat at number 10 with the hopes to help his team cross the winning line but in vain.
The Karnataka batter did come out to bat and looked in a lot of pain as he was barely able to walk. After the match was over, stand-in captain Krunal Pandya gave an update about the gravity of Rahul's injury.
"It is such a sad thing he pulled his hip flexor. I don't know how bad it is, the medical team will assess it," Krunal Pandya said at the post-match presentation after LSG lost the match by 18 runs.
The injury of KL Rahul can be a season-ending one. The good thing is that the LSG skipper was on his feet, and that can be a significant indication of the extent of his issue.
Any serious hamstring issue means the IPL 2023 campaign will be all over for the LSG captain. In that case, Krunal Pandya may be captaining LSG. He took the decisions in the field on Monday, and may be appointed as captain if Rahul is ruled out.
