LSG vs RR IPL 2024: KL Rahul's Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will host Sanju Samson's Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Match 44 of the IPL 2024 at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. The two sides first met each this season in match number four when Rajasthan defeated Lucknow by 20 runs.
Rajasthan are the current table-toppers in IPL 2024 after winning seven of their first eight matches. They have defeated Mumbai Indians (MI), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), and Punjab Kings (PBKS) in their last three matches.

Lucknow, on the other hand, are placed fourth after winning five of their eight matches. They have defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their last two games. A win against RR can send LSG to second in the points table.
"Looks a little bit drier than what we have seen here in the past. There are a couple of bare spots, but I don't think that will play too much of an issue. I expect it to hold a little bit more than anything else. It looks very Wankhede-like looking at that surface. Just being inland, there won't be as much spin. The soil doesn't compact together quite as tight, being quite central in the country," Kevin Pietersen and Aaron Finch reckoned ahead of LSG vs CSK match - the last game at the venue.
"I expect it to play really well. The new ball, like always, will be absolutely crucial. The ability to find wickets in the powerplay will be of paramount importance on this surface. I think it'll be a really good wicket for cricket. Expect the bowlers to pitch it up a little bit more, see if they can get any movement off this fine green grass early on. Win the toss and bowl first," they added.
In the match, CSK scored 176/6 after being asked to bat first. Pacers and spinners picked three wickets each. In reply, Lucknow chased down the target with eight wickets and six balls remaining. Both the wickets were taken by the pacers.
The average innings in the last five matches at Ekana is 176 runs. Team winning the toss has opted to bat first 52 percent of the time in the last five years. Team batting first has won 55.56 percent times in the last five years.
