LSG vs RR IPL 2024: Four Batters Who Can Score Most Runs in Match 44

LSG vs RR: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will play against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Match 44 of the IPL 2024. The game will go all guns blazing on April 27, Saturday at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow at 7:30 PM (IST).

When both teams locked horns with each other in the first leg, the Royals came out on top much to LSG’s annoyance as they won the game by 20 runs in Jaipur.

KL Rahul

It remains to be seen how LSG will respond in the second leg at their fortress. RR are the only team that has accumulated the most points (14) after playing 8 games. They won seven games and lost just once so far and are on top of the points table.

On the other hand, LSG are fourth on the table with five wins and three defeats. The Lucknow-based franchise collected 10 points. Let’s take a glimpse at the four batsmen who can muster the most runs in Match 44 of the competition.

1. KL Rahul: LSG captain KL Rahul must have been really frustrated with the way he slowed down his innings during the run-chase of the first leg against RR in Jaipur. He scored 58 off 44 balls including 4 fours and 2 sixes at a strike rate of 131.82. Nevertheless, he will be looking forward to setting things right in the home game against RR.

2. Yashasvi Jaiswal: The young lad struggled to produce the spark as an opener for RR this season for most games. However, a century against Mumbai Indians in the last game must have instilled a truckload of confidence and energy going forward. Jaiswal who scored 24 off 12 balls (3 fours, 1 six) will be hoping to score a chunk of runs.

3. Nicholas Pooran: The Caribbean has been quite sensational with the bat for the Lucknow-based franchise this season where he has accelerated the scoreboard with his fearless brand of cricket. He top-scored for LSG in the first leg against RR as he pitched in with an unbeaten 64 off 41 balls (4 fours, 4 sixes).

4. Sanju Samson: Sanju Samson has ticked the boxes as a captain, batsman and wicket-keeper in the ongoing season and things have gone ever so well for him. He scored 314 runs in 8 games and is the second leading run-getter for his team this season. Notably, he was named the Man of the Match for his unbeaten 82 off 52 (3 fours, 6 sixes) against LSG in the first leg.
