Lucknow Super Giants have completed their second win in a row at home as they overcame Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday (April 7) by 5 wickets.

Batting first, it was a huge struggle for Sunrisers Hyderabad who could only manage 121 runs at the end of their 20 overs. Krunal Pandya picked up 3 wickets and was the star with the ball. LSG chased the score down with four overs to spare as Krunal starred with the bat as well.

SRH have now lost consecutive matches while Lucknow have shrugged off their previous match loss against CSK. SRH, with the loss are rooted at the bottom of the table while LSG have gone to the top with the win.

Aiden Markarm (SRH Captain): Not enough runs, tried to get to 150-160 but lost too many wickets and didn't get any momentum going. We realized it wasn't going to be a great wicket to bat in terms of history, but we were happy to fight. They bowled brilliantly according to the conditions. Good effort from our bowlers, we didn't give them enough runs to play with but they fought hard. (On the next home game) Different conditions once again, the team has played there already. The Punjab Kings are flying high but Sunday is a chance to pinch them.

KL Rahul (LSG Captain): Yesterday when we saw the pitch, we knew how its going to play. We knew what we were getting into. We saw in the first couple of overs the ball was gripping and that's why we brought Krunal Pandya in early. Both the wins were hard work and we have adapted quite well in both pitches, we can be happy about that.

Krunal Pandya (POTM): Very good day at the office. Both [wickets and runs] pleased me. Everything was special today. I am in a good headspace and clarity on how I am going to go about my game. I am someone who doesn't think much about of result and it is paying well. I took a break from cricket for last 4-5 months and wanted to work on my skills. I want to dedicate this award to my wife who has always helped me to become my best version.
