Lucknow Super Giants owner Sanjiv Goenka was caught having an animated chat with LSG captain KL Rahul after their defeat at the hands of Sunrisers Hyderabad on Wednesday (May 8).

LSG posted a total of 165 runs in Hyderabad. KL Rahul's batting was not up to the mark as the LSG skipper scored 29 runs in 33 balls. Surprisingly, SRH chased that down within the first 10 overs as Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma went berserk in the run chase.

It was a crushing defeat for the Lucknow outfit, who jeopardized their playoff chances after losing to one of their playoff rivals. But the visuals after the match was a shocker as the LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka was seen in an altercation with KL Rahul.

Although Rahul kept his composure, Goenka seemed to be in an animated mode as he talked about their manner of defeat. But the tensed discussion in front of the cameras on the ground is perhaps not what the doctor ordered.

Even the commentators uttered the same thing. This kind of discussion is supposed to take place behind closed doors. As a team owner, Goenka had the right to feel frustrated, but the public dressing down was not solicited. The commentators also praised KL Rahul for keeping his composure during the incident as the LSG captain tried to explain the concerns.

As the video of the incident went viral, fans bashed the LSG owner for his action. The majority of the netizens disapproved of the behaviour of Goenka. Irrespective of the performance of KL Rahul and his team, the way the LSG owner went about the defeat was sore to the eye and the public reprimand was uncalled for.
