Lucknow Super Giants are poised to undergo numerous changes ahead of the IPL 2024 auction, according to reports.
The franchise, which is just two years old, have made a decent start to its life with consecutive playoff qualifications. But despite that, Super Giants are highly likely to undergo a squad overhaul.

They are reportedly going to release around eight to nine players as they aim to have a purse of around INR 20 crore and more in the mini-auction. The IPL 2024 auction will be on December 19 and ahead of that, a couple of overseas players may also face the axe.
LSG has brought in Justin Langer as their head coach and the Australian has already sanctioned the release of a few Indian names. Manan Vohra, Swapnil Singh, Suryansh Shedge and Karan Sharma are likely to depart. Vohra just played a solitary match last season, whereas Karan Sharma's INR 50 lakh acquisition has only seen him playing thrice across two seasons.
Karun Nair's future is also uncertain as the veteran has also been a sporadic player at the LSG setup. Deepak Hooda had a dismal last season in the IPL, but the Indian all-rounder is likely to be retained.
There can be certain departures in the overseas section as well. Romario Shepherd has already been traded out, and we may see two more exits on the deadline day. Daniel Sams is tipped to be one of them, while the other name is still under the smoke.
