M Chinaswamy Stadium Stats and Records: The venue in Bengaluru, which is commonly known as the KSCA Stadium, is a five decade old stadium that is flanked by the picturesque Cubbon Park.
The KSCA will be one of the ten host venues during the ICC World Cup 2023. The venue first hosted a high-voltage clash between two former champions - Pakistan and Australia on October 20.

After Australia vs Pakistan, the Chinnaswamy Stadium hosted England vs Sri Lanka follows by New Zealand vs Pakistan. The venue will next host New Zealand vs Sri Lanka before hosting India vs Netherlands in the final group phase match.
With boundary sizes of around 65 metres, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium has offered some of the highest-scoring innings over the years. And the same could be expected even this time.
More World Cup Records could be broken in a repeat of 2011, where Kevin O'Brien crashed the fastest hundred in an ODI World Cup in just 50 balls as Ireland chased down 328 to beat England. However, since the work for the drainage system there has been a mix of slow wickets as well.
The stadium has been home to the National Cricket Academy since 2000, producing some of the finest international Indian talent seen this century. It also serves as home to Karnataka state teams and the IPL side Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The venue has hosted as many as 58 international matches so far and many IPL matches. The venue has been host to seven World Cup matches earlier with 1 match each in 1987 and 1996, plus five in 2011.
In 1987, India beat New Zealand by 16 runs. In 1996, the venue played hosts to a high-voltage match between arch-rivals India and Pakistan, with the hosts running out victors by 39 runs. In 2011, the venue opened their five matches with a thrilling tie between India and England.
After the high-scoring thrilling tie, the venue witnessed Ireland stun England by pulling off a huge run-chase, but the Irish also suffered a 5-wicket defeat to India before the final two matches of that edition at the Chinnaswamy Stadium saw Australia ease to wins over Kenya and Canada.
Since the 2011 World Cup, the venue in Bengaluru had hosted just three ODI matches with the last one being the India vs Australia clash in 2020, when the visitors won the match by chasing, which holds the edge over the teams defending totals.
In 2023 World Cup, Australia defended a total of 367 with ease against Pakistan, while defending champions England suffered an 8-wicket loss against Sri Lanka in the second match.
In the third match, New Zealand suffered a loss by DLS method to Pakistan despite scoring 401. The Blackcaps, however, bounced back in style in the fourth match, beating Sri Lanka by 5 wickets to get closer to a sealing a semifinal spot.
