M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru will stage it's fifth and final match of the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023 on Sunday (November 12) when unbeaten hosts India take on Netherlands in the final round-robin match of the show-piece tournament.
Rohit Sharma-led table-toppers India come into the match on the back of an eight-match unbeaten run, while Scott Edwards' bottom-placed Netherlands are fresh from their sixth defeat of the campaign.

In their most recent outing, India defeated South Africa by 243 runs on a testing surface at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, while Netherlands fell to England by 160 runs on a batting friendly wicket at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune.
Weather has affected both India and Netherlands in one match each so far with the Dutch beating South Africa in a truncated match in Dharamsala, where the Men in Blue saw a small stoppage in their victory over New Zealand due to mist.
None of the other games involving the two teams have been affected by weather, but they are next playing in Bengaluru, where the weather has been in focus in the last two games at the venue.
The venue in Bengaluru has produced some high-scoring games. However, the last match was a low-scoring affair in which the team batting first struggled to get runs on the board. A fresh unused wicket may be used for the India-Netherlands match.
With some parts of India witnessing showers due to the retreating monsoon, here is a look at the Bengaluru weather forecast and the M Chinnaswamy Stadium pitch report for IND vs NED 45th ICC World Cup 2023 match:
Unlike the past two matches, there is no threat of rain on Sunday (November 12) in Bengaluru. It is expected to be a pleasant day with sun and areas of high clouds. The temperatures are expected to be 28° C at the start of play and around 21-23° C during the closing stages of the match.
As per Weather Channel, there is forecast for a partly cloudy day with zero percent chance of rain. The temperatures are expected to range from 20-27° C during the playing hours. So, rain or any other weather condition in unlikely to play spoilsport in the IND vs NED match.
However, there is chance for dew in the later part of the match, especially in the second innings of the match. Then, how is the Bengaluru wicket going to play after seeing mixed results so far in the other matches?
Three pitches with one on stand by have been selected by the ICC in the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Three red soil pitches will stage the 5 World Cup 2023 matches.
The red soil wickets usually tend to offer pacers some assist in the early stages with spinners coming into play as the game progresses, but some venues with red soil wickets have also been batters paradise. And M Chinnaswamy Stadium along with Wankhede Stadium in one such venue.
The first match of the 2023 World Cup was a prime example of the batting friendly venue as Australia pile on 367 against Sri Lanka, who replied with 305, but the second match saw England get bundled out for 156 before Sri Lanka made lightwork of the chase.
The third match saw New Zealand post 401/6, which was not enough due to the rains forcing a reduction in target and number of overs for Pakistan, who reached 200/1 in 25.3 overs to win the match by 21 runs (DLS Method).
In the most recent match, New Zealand bowled out Sri Lanka for 171 on wicket that offered some assistance for slower or spin bowlers, but got a little easier to bat under lights when the Blackcaps sealed the chase in 23.2 overs.
The average first innings score in the 30 ODIs hosted by the venue is 262. In the 2023 World Cup, the average first innings score is 273 with teams chasing winning three times and team batting first winning once in a high-scoring game.
Over the years, it's been an even share of wins for teams chasing and batting first, but the chasing team has taken the edge after four matches in the ODI World Cup 2023. The captains will be tempted to chase especially with dew likely to be a factor, but India may be tempted to use their pace battery under lights.
