The M Chinnaswamy Stadium, established by the patronage of Government of Karnataka in 1969 and situated in the heart of the city of Bengaluru, will host at seven matches during the eighteenth edition of the Indian Premier League – IPL 2025 from Wednesday (April 2).
Known earlier as the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) stadium, the venue situated in heart of the city, was renamed after Mangalam Chinnaswamy, who was the BCCI President from 1977 to 1980 and had also served in the KSCA for four decades.

The M Chinnaswamy Stadium has served as home venues to Karnataka state teams, the Indian cricket team and since 2008, when Indian Premier League (IPL) started as a home to the Bengaluru-based franchise - Royal Challengers Bengaluru men’s team, and since 2024 as home to the RCB women’s team.
KSCA stadium in Bengaluru is expected to host 7 of RCB's home league stage matches, starting with the fixture against Gujarat Titans followed by games against Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals in April.
The Bengaluru venue will then host Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders in May. This will be the fourteenth edition of IPL to be hosted by the venue. Here is a look at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium T20 and IPL records ahead of IPL 2025:
