MA Chidambaram Stadium Stats and Records: The venue in Chennai, which is commonly known as the Chepauk Stadium, is the second oldest cricket stadium in India, having been established in 1916.
The Chepauk is one of the ten hosts during the ICC World Cup 2023. The venue first hosted a high-voltage clash between two former champions - India and Australia on October 8.

In 2023, India opened their campaign with a 6-wicket win after bundling out Australia for just 199, while New Zealand registered wins over Bangladesh and Afghanistan, who also stunned Pakistan, who also lost to South Africa in a thriller in the last match.
