Maharaja Trophy 2025: The stage is set for an electrifying edition of the Maharaja Trophy T20 2025, with the auction drawing to a close and all six franchises locking in their 18-member squads.
Among them, Bengaluru Blasters, the runners-up from last season, have built a balanced and formidable unit as they gear up for another shot at the coveted title.

Led by seasoned India batter Mayank Agarwal, the Blasters are eyeing redemption after narrowly missing out on the championship in 2024. They were beaten by the Mysore Warriors in the summit clash, finishing as runners-up for the second time, having also ended second-best in the tournament's inaugural edition in 2022. With a strong core and exciting new additions, the team is determined to go one step further in 2025.
The auction saw Devdutt Padikkal steal the spotlight, becoming the most expensive player of the day after being picked up by Hubli Tigers for ₹13.20 lakhs. The Tigers also landed Abhinav Manohar for ₹12.20 lakhs, signaling an aggressive auction strategy.
Mysore Warriors strengthened their batting with the addition of experienced Manish Pandey for the same amount, while Shivamogga Lions made a shrewd pick in pacer Vidwath Kaverappa for ₹10.80 lakhs. Bengaluru Blasters, meanwhile, made a key investment in fast bowler Vidyadhar Patil, who joined their ranks for ₹8.40 lakhs.
The auction also featured notable picks like Bengaluru's Chethan LR, Shreyas Gopal, and Lavish Kaushal, as domestic talents continued to be in demand. However, there were a few surprises, with young Samit Dravid, son of Indian cricket legend Rahul Dravid, going unsold.
Mayank Agarwal (Captain), Shubhang Hegde, Naveen MG, Suraj Ahuja, A Rohan Patil, Chethan LR, Mohsin Khan, Vidyadhar Patil, Siddharth Akhil, Madhav Prakash Bajaj, Rohan Naveen, Kruthik Krishna, Advith M Shetty, Bhuvan Mohan Raju, Rohan M Raju, Niranjan Naik, Prateek Jain, Ishaan S.
With a blend of youth and experience, the Blasters will be aiming to finally lift the Maharaja Trophy after two near misses.
