Mayank Yadav fastest ball in IPL 2024: The young pacer from Delhi has bowled the quickest deliveries in the ongoing season of Indian Premier League during Lucknow Super Giants' league stage match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru by clocking 156.7kmph.
After a year on the sidelines, Mayank announced his arrival to the IPL with some very quick deliveries in his first-ever match in the lucrative league as he hit 150kmph consistently against Punjab Kings in match 11 of the season at the BRSABV Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

The 21-year-old troubled PBKS batters with pacy bouncers, removing the likes of Jonny Bairstow, Prabhsimran Singh and Jitesh Sharma in quick succession to dent the opposition's chances in the run chase and played a crucial role in LSG's first win of the season.
PBKS were poised well in the run chase of 200 at 102 for 0 in 11.3 overs before Mayank struck with a short delivery to dismiss Bairstow for 42 off 29 balls, caught at deep mid-wicket by Marcus Stoinis.
Later, he removed Prabhsimran and Jitesh also with quick short deliveries as the duo struggled to clear the 30-yard circle and handed catches to Naveen-ul-Haq at mid-on. He finished with figures of 3 for 27 in 4 overs.
The 21-year-old, who was awarded the man of the match, consistently bowled over 140kmph in his debut and continued from where he left off in the next match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
The tall speedster finished with figures of 3 for 14 vs RCB, taking wickets of Glenn Maxwell, Cameron Green and Rajat Patidar. Here is a look at the top 10 fastest deliveries by Mayank Yadav.

The Delhi speedster, who was bought for his base price of Rs 20 Lakhs by LSG in the 2023 auction, missed last season due to injury, but has made a brilliant comeback and is expected to hit higher speeds as the IPL 2024 progresses.
His 156.7kmph delivery is the second quickest recorded by an Indian in IPL history after Umran Malik (157kmph). That speed is also the sixth quickest in the lucrative league's history. It is also the quickest in the ongoing season.
