Mayank Yadav Injury update: Lucknow Super Giants' star pacer Mayank Yadav is eager to return to action after nursing a hip injury, confirmed captain KL Rahul. Speaking after LSG's loss to Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024 last night, Rahul provided insights into Yadav's recovery progress.
"He (Mayank Yadav) is feeling good, he looks good, but we don't want to rush him. We need to protect his body, he's itching to go. Need to make sure that he's hundred per cent (fit) before he comes back in a couple of matches," said Rahul, emphasising the team's cautious approach towards Yadav's comeback.

The pace sensation's absence from the next two matches is expected as he continues his recovery journey. A day earlier, LSG head coach Justin Langer shed light on Yadav's injury, revealing that the fast bowler is undergoing treatment for tightness in his hip.
"Mayank is unlikely to play the next two games as he continues his recovery. We're hoping he regains full fitness before our home game against Chennai Super Kings on April 19," stated Langer, outlining the team's plan for Yadav's return.
While Yadav's absence poses a challenge for LSG, Langer also provided updates on left-arm pacer Mohsin Khan, who has missed recent matches due to a back issue. Langer expressed optimism about Khan's recovery, mentioning his involvement in bowling sessions and the possibility of his return in the upcoming games.
"He's out there bowling now. He had a little bit of disc flare-up in his back. He and Mayank are very important to us. He's gone through all the treatment - it's really good to have an excellent medical staff. He might be available tomorrow, but more than likely - and hopefully - we'll be looking at the Kolkata game," said Langer, indicating Khan's potential return against Kolkata Knight Riders.
As LSG navigates through injuries and player fitness concerns, the team remains focused on ensuring the well-being of its players while aiming for a strong performance in the ongoing IPL season.
