The young pacer, known for his fiery spells and consistently crossing the 155 kmph mark, is expected to be part of the playing 12 in the upcoming home game against Mumbai Indians on Tuesday.

Mayank Yadav, aged 21, made a striking impact in the initial games of IPL 2024, clinching 'Player of the Match' awards in his first two appearances. His injury occurred in the third match, following a single over that exacerbated his condition, leading to a necessary pause for recovery.
Following three weeks of meticulous rehabilitation, Mayank has achieved full fitness. Albie Morkel, part of the coaching staff, confirmed his recovery at a pre-match press conference. "Mayank is fit and he has passed all his fitness tests and (we're) excited (to) have him back playing potential 12 tomorrow," Morkel stated enthusiastically.
This season, Mayank has already taken six wickets in just three games, demonstrating his potential as a crucial asset to the LSG bowling lineup. His return is eagerly anticipated by both fans and his teammates alike.
Two weeks earlier, LSG captain KL Rahul had discussed Mayank's injury and recovery process, stressing the importance of not rushing his return to the pitch. "He (Mayank Yadav) is feeling good, he looks good, but we don't want to rush him. We need to protect his body, he's itching to go. Need to make sure that he's hundred per cent (fit) before he comes back in a couple of matches," Rahul had said, underlining the cautious approach taken by the team management.
Despite the eagerness to reintegrate Mayank into the playing squad, LSG has been very deliberate about his rehabilitation schedule. Initially, head coach Justin Langer had indicated that Mayank would miss a couple of games following his injury, including a key match against Chennai Super Kings.
"Mayank is unlikely to play the next two games as he continues his recovery. We're hoping he regains full fitness before our home game against Chennai Super Kings on April 19," Langer had remarked.
