MCA to organise course for cricket scorers from May 21

Mumbai, May 15 (UNI) The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) will organise a course for scorers from May 21 to 27 at the Press Box of the Wankhede Stadium here.

The course will be held from 1730 hrs to 2030 hrs from May 21 to 26 and from 0900 hrs to 1600 hrs on May 27, a release issued by the Association of Cricket Statisticians and Scorers of India (ACSSI) stated here today.

The candidates who will take part in the course would have to sit for a practical and written examination on June 3, and the successful candidates will go on to the MCA scorers' panel and can do scoring for local matches by seeking appointment through the ACSSI.

The course is open to all-both boys and girls-- of all ages, especially those who are doing scoring for junior matches and are not properly trained. Those who had appeared earlier and did not clear the examination can also apply, the release added.
